Garbage!

My daughter and I set off for RiverPark last night to take in a screening of a movie sponsored by the Geneva Green Market and Geneva's Cultural Arts Commission. It was perfect evening, although just a little bit overcast. Concessions for sale included cookies, cobbler and root beer floats, with the proceeds benefiting the Geneva Green Market. The park was absolutely packed with people, which was a pleasant surprise, particularly since the film was called Garbage!

The Cultural Arts Commission sponsors the annual Geneva Film Festival, which will be held this year in November. For more information, or to submit a film, visit their site via the box on the right.

I have included the trailer for Garbage! Enjoy!

Beautiful photo! I just love the spare quality of the composition.

Sounds like a fun and interesting night.

This is a great concept, bringing the community together with a movie. Sounds like you and your daughter had a great time.

Interesting photo of the al fresco movie event. And what's not to like about cookies, cobbler and root beer floats! I watched the Garbage movie trailer and would be very interested in seeing the whole movie. Did people feel bad tossing out their garbage after the movie was over?

You sold me on the root beer floats! Glad you had an enjoyable time. I'm sure you learned a lot! Have a good week Kelly!

What a fun and novel way to help people learn. MB

sur la première photo, on pourrait penser qu'il n'y a que deux chaises pour les spectateurs ;o)

on the first picture, you might think there are only two chairs for spectators ;o)

I can just imagine it full of people pulled up and sitting in those toy cars and trucks, munching on popcorn.

Kelly,
By reading the comment about the
drive in movie tells me it was a great
event. I miss drive in theaters.
You know me to come up with something
totally unrelated to your concept.
With the two chairs setting alone in front
of the screen makes it appear as the first
big screen TV with no remote. HA.
